H2O Training Ltd is an Accredited Training Centre (ATC) for several National Governing Bodies, including the Qualsafe Awards, Surf Lifesaving Association of Great Britain, and Work Safe Training Systems. We are also affiliated with the National Coasteer Charter.

Technical Expert

Steve Bowens (Owner) works as a technical expert with a wide range of outdoor activity providers We as a company ARE an Accredited Training Centre (ATC) for a number of National Governing Bodies including Surf Lifesaving Association of Great Britain, Work Safe Training Systems and is affiliated to the National Coasteer Charter.

Training Courses

Our company has been providing regulated and nationally recognized first-aid training for schools, colleges, businesses, groups, and individuals for over twenty years. We have consistently achieved an “Outstanding” grade in all external audits and teaching observations. Our courses cover various qualifications to meet statutory, governing body, and industry requirements.

First Aid Courses and Qualifications

We offer first aid training qualifications for a range of environments, including Paediatric First Aid, First Aid at work, and Outdoor First Aid

Whether you are an employer looking for Training Courses regulated by the Health & Safety Executive, a teaching assistant who needs a first aid qualification which meets the Ofsted EYFS and HSE requirements or would like to gain some essential First Aid skills for life, our professionally taught courses are tailored to you, all satisfying HSE First Aid regulations.

Surf Lifesaving Courses and Qualifications

To become an (RNLI) Professional Lifeguard, you need a National Vocational Beach Lifeguard Qualification (NVBLQ) or equivalent.

H2O Training is an Accredited Training Centre for SLSGB, the National Governing Body for Surfing Lifesaving in the UK. The SLSGB Beach Lifeguard Award is recognised by the International Lifesaving Federation for International Certificates of Competence. This allows you to use this qualification to work internationally.

Course Locations

Cornwall courses:

We are very proud to deliver these courses at Portreath Surf Lifesaving Club, the SLSGB flagship club with a long history of lifesaving and international competition. The fantastic clubhouse is right on the beach with hot showers, changing rooms and a large indoor training area.

Scotland courses:

The courses in Scotland are delivered at either Belhaven Surf Centre in Dunbar or on the Isle of Lewis in the Outer Hebrides.
